Chances are, we’re a lot like you. We’re people who are passionate about food, enjoy cooking and entertaining, but have busy lives. Suzanne Florek, a seasoned chef, recipe developer and entrepreneur founded Salty Fig with the intent to make it easier to collect, organize, and share recipes - all in one place.

Suzanne Florek, Founder
A Chicago chef trained at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) and a graduate of the Indiana University Business School, Suzanne knows food – and the business of food. She has years of experience running fine dining restaurants and has enjoyed a freelance career in New Product Development. Suzanne also has three teenage (and always hungry) boys and an encouraging husband – all of whom provided inspiration and support for the creation of Salty Fig. Her philosophy: keep your life in the right balance with food, friends and family. Arlo Leach

Arlo Leach develops custom websites and iPhone apps from his base in Portland, Oregon. Although more of an eating out kind of guy, his love of baked goods draws him to the kitchen often enough. To see more of Arlo's work, please visit arlomedia.com.

Bruce Vogele

Bruce Vogele is the founder of Folio. Having spent most of his career working in Chicago, Bruce has also lived and worked in Denmark, although he has yet to dine at noma. Bruce is the Salty Fig branding and web designer. He’s a vegetarian and loves recipes with black beans and rice.

Jen Withington

Jen Withington is a driving force at Folio, specializing in branding and website development. Jen has 15 years experience at DDB and 10 years as stay at home Mom for two very active hungry teenagers. Bruce and Jen met two years ago, and have formed a dynamic partnership with Folio, Inc.

Scott Klosterman

Scott Klosterman is an Associate Creative Director at an advertising agency in Louisville, Kentucky. He can be reached at . You can also follow him on Twitter. A husband and father of three young adult/teenage children, Scott (along with his wife) spends many hours each week preparing home-cooked meals, as the cost of feeding said children at restaurants has proven to be financially unviable.

Julie Skoda

Julie Skoda is a freelance artist in Western Springs, IL specializing in pastel, oil and watercolor. Julie's favorite subjects to paint are organic produce and the landscape that surrounds us. Julie loves to eat good food but loves painting food more than cooking it. Julie and her friend Marie talk about art on their blog she can be reached on her website.

Frank Minella lives in Chicago. He attends Columbia College Chicago, where he is majoring in Audio Arts and Acoustics. He plays guitar and keyboard for the band Walsher Clemmons.
